If you’re looking to mount a extra shock up front or relocate to a shock on the outside of your coil tower like the newer trucks, this 1994-2013 Dodge Ram external shock mount kit is made just for you!
This awesome kit helps improve the ride and handling on your 1994- 2013 Dodge Ram by allowing you to run a extra shock up front while maintaining the factory shock inside the coil. The kit can also be used to relocate to just one external shock.
Super easy bolt on installation that requires no drilling, welding, cutting or modifications!
THIS KIT REQUIRES EYELET STYLE SHOCKS, FOX or Bilstein shocks are available to purchase with the kit or you can supply your own shocks. Fox remote resi shocks come with Fox black billet resi clamps, bilstein resi shocks come with hose clamp style resi clamps, billet clamps available on ALL PRODUCTS page.
We highly reccommend purchasing the shocks from us, as we have the right shocks for any lift size and we are priced cheaper than anywhere else as we are a direct FOX and Bilstein dealer.
THIS KIT WILL NOT WORK WITH STUD STYLE SHOCKS ON THE OUTSIDE MOUNTS! THIS KIT ALSO REQUIRES A SHORTER STYLE OF EYELET SHOCKS, SAME LIFT SIZE REAR SHOCKS WILL NOT WORK. The kit can use a stock stud-style shock on the inside, but it must be a shorter shock than factory as the external mount deletes the shock towers.
The kit comes complete with both top and bottom mounts, left and right side brackets, and shock mounting hardware. If ordering brackets only the specific lift size does not matter as the lift size is configured by the shocks.
This kit fits 1994-2002 Dodge Ram 1500/ 2500/ 3500 4wd only,
and 2003-2013 Ram 2500/ 3500 4wd only. (Will not fit late 2013-up Rams with the shock on the outside of the coil.)
Brackets are available in bare steel or black powdercoat.
All External mount kits and shocks are in stock, and they ship out in 1-2 business days.
1994-2013 Dodge Ram External Shock Mount Kit
Upper mount with label drivers side goes on drivers side, with the shock mount angled towards the firewall. The multiple bolt holes are to fit both 2nd or 3rd gen trucks.
Lower mounts bolt up to the upper control arm bolts and the shock bolt end sits angled downwards. (See product pics for reference) USE stock upper bolts and nuts to bolt the lower mount on.
Certain truck models will need the steel brake line off the caliper bent upwards and outwards slightly to clear the shock, easy to do by hand.
