If you have a 2nd gen Dodge Ram truck and have wandering, loose steering feel or especially the infamous "death wobble", we have the fix for your truck!
This 1994-2002 Dodge Ram Trac Bar Upgrade kit uses our 3rd/4th/5th Gen style trac bar and adapter bracket for a much better handling and performance. The direct bolt on trac bar adapter simply bolts on in where the factory balljoint style trac bar bolted in and lets you run a much better designed trac bar.
This is also a great option for lifts as the factory trac bars won’t work with bigger lift kits.
This heavy duty, fully adjustable trac bar comes with individually replaceable 7/8” heims, is built out of 1/4” wall x 1.50"" . DOM tubing, and is precision CNC mandrel bent for perfect fitment!
The heims we use are top of the line, FK Bearing heim joints, featuring a F1 high precision fit, teflon PTFE lined for many years of use, as well as super quite operation compared to other chinese made joints. All 100% made in the USA!
This kit includes our bolt on adapter bracket to run the 4th gen style trac bar. This is a bolt-on kit and only requires drilling the lower axle trac bar hole to a 5/8” as the factory smaller metric hole always wears out. The kit does not require any welding or cutting.
THIS KIT ONLY FITS TRUCKS WITH A 2” OR BIGGER LEVEL/ LIFT.
Make sure to include what style steering you have so we send the right bracket size, as it takes a different bracket size between stock style steering or aftermarket crossover steering.
Ships in BARE STEEL ONLY. Kits are currently built to order- approx 1-3 week current build time, build times do vary as we are extremely busy.
1994-2002 Dodge Ram Trac Bar Upgrade Kit
Trac bar is made from 1/4'' wall x 1.50'' OD DOM tube, and is precision CNC mandrel bent for perfect fitment.
Heims are chromoly precision series 7/8'' FK heims, with 5/8'' bore bushings and 5/8'' grade 8 bolts. (Rebuild kits for older trac bars are available on products page).
The factory lower trac bar axle bolt hole will need drilled out to 5/8'', as the stock hole is a smaller metric size.
The bottom of the stock trac bar mount also sometimes has a factory weld that dripped down and sticks past the bottom edge that will need ground down so the adapter bracket sits flat.
